THE TEAM
The Bates Women's Club Ice Hockey team, also known around campus as "WOHO," is a competitive club program with a season that runs from November to March. We are a team that emphasizes the dedication, teamwork, and competition of committed student-athletes while also incorporating a fun atmosphere both on and off the ice. Although we are a serious, competitive club program, the team is open to athletes of all skill levels. We practice five days a week and play two games each weekend with home games at Underhill Arena, located right on the Bates College Campus. We frequently travel throughout New England competing against other collegiate club teams and strive to qualify for the IWCHL playoffs at the end of the season.
CAPTAINS
Captains for the 2024-2025 season are Miranda Eisenman '25, April McCall '25, and Sydney Bernstein '26.
THE RINK
We practice daily at Underhill Arena. Built in 1995, the rink is home to both the Men's and Women's Ice Hockey teams. With our own private locker room and storage closet, Underhill Arena becomes our second home during the winter months!
COACHING STAFF
Although primarily a student-led organization, we are fortunate to be coached on the ice by Jon Anctil who is assisted by Drew Lupardo.
